COVID-19: UPDATE & FAQS

Covert Farms is a fourth-generation family-run farm and we are proud to call this land home. Our incredible team has been working hard to welcome guests back to the farm, and the safety of our guests, staff, and community at large is of the utmost importance.

We’re taking all necessary precautions as outlined by the Centre for Disease Control (CDC), local health officials and regional winery associations. As we reopen our doors, compliance, comfort and safety is top-of-mind and, for now, we will be welcoming guests only for private, pre-booked small group experiences (up to 6 people).

Here’s what’s happening at the farm, along with some frequently asked questions.

Are you currently accepting walk-ins?

We are currently accepting reserved tasting and tour experiences only. This is to help us adhere to the health and safety protocols recommended by the CDC and local health authorities.

What safety precautions are you taking at the farm?

Keeping our guests and staff safe is top of mind. Here’s an overview at some of the steps we’re taking:

Are you offering wine tasting experiences?

Yes! We are welcoming private, pre-booked small group wine tasting experiences (for up to 6 people). Visitors can choose from one of three immersive tasting experiences, which will take place on our rustic, outdoor covered patio. Tastings are available Wednesday through Sunday, rain or shine (heaters will be provided for cooler days), and guests will be provided with a one-hour time slot to enjoy their tasting and explore the farm. To book your reservation, click here.

Is the Hands on Harvest tour running?

Beginning July 1st, we’re offering private, pre-booked Hands on Harvest tours for small groups (up to six people). The tour will run twice daily (11am and 2pm), Wednesday through Sunday. The two-hour experience includes a one-hour tour of our 650-acre farm, followed by cheese, charcuterie and wine pairings back on our rustic outdoor covered patio. Reservations required; to book click here.

I’m travelling with my children. Can we bring them?

Absolutely! We’re offering a brand new private guided tour of our farm animals, as well as three different tasting experiences – just for kids! Following the 30-minute tour or tasting, kids also have the option of jumping on our famous jumping pillow. Please note your group will be allocated a one-hour time slot for wine tasting experiences, and two hours for the Hands on Harvest tour – this includes time spent visiting our resident farm animals and jumping on the jumping pillow. Kids’ tours and tastings must be booked alongside an existing wine tasting. Click here to learn more.

How long can we spend at Covert Farms?

As much as we typically love having you join us for the day, we are doing our best to accommodate as many guests as safely as possible. We are allocating one hour to each group who joins us for a wine tasting, and two hours for a Hands on Harvest tour. During this time, you are also welcome to visit our resident farm animals and enjoy the jumping pillow.

Do I need to wear any protective gear while visiting?

The provincial and federal health authorities have recommended we use Personal Protective Gear as often as possible. We also ask that you practice social distancing while at the farm and winery.

Is your jumping pillow available?
