We’re a fourth-generation family-run farm and proudly call this land home. Our incredible team has been working hard as we prepare to welcome guests back to Covert Farms, and the safety of our guests, staff, and community at large is of the utmost importance.
We’re taking all necessary precautions as outlined by the Centre for Disease Control (CDC), local health officials, and regional winery associations. We will continue to strive for the best visitor experience with compliance, comfort and safety top-of-mind. Here’s what’s happening at the farm, along with some frequently asked questions.
As per the PHO guidelines, guests joining us for a tasting, tour or picnic should be doing so with their household. For people who live alone, this should be with a maximum of two people they regularly interact with (core bubble).
Are you open for tastings?
We are now open for private, pre-booked wine tasting experiences for small groups (up to 6 people). Visitors can choose from three tastings experiences, which will take place on our rustic, outdoor covered patio. Tastings will take place Wednesday through Sunday, rain or shine (heaters will be provided for cooler days). Please allow for up to 45 minutes for your tasting. Reservations required; to book click here.
I’m travelling with my children. Can we bring them?
Absolutely! We’re offering a self guided tour of our farm animals, as well as three different tasting experiences – just for kids! Following the 30-minute tour or tasting, kids also have the option of jumping on our famous jumping pillow. Please note your group will be allocated a one-hour time slot for wine tasting experiences, and two hours for the Hands on Harvest and Wine Enthusiast Harvest tours – this includes time spent visiting our resident farm animals and jumping on the jumping pillow. Starting July 1st we will be offering kids private tours with the farm animals. Kids’ tours and tastings must be booked alongside an existing wine tasting. Click here to learn more.

What safety precautions are you taking at the farm?
Keeping our guests and staff safe is top of mind. Here’s an overview at some of the steps we’re taking:
We are welcoming groups up to 6 guests per group
To limit exposure as much as possible, guests will be provided with a dedicated Covert Farms guide who will oversee their onsite experience from start to finish. Our team will wear a mask at all times, with the exception of when they are discussing wines and food pairings (where they will be standing behind plexiglass)
Throughout the day, the kitchen, wine tasting and washroom facilities will be cleaned and sanitized following each group departure
Wine tasting sheets will be laminated and sanitized after each use
Each night, we will also meticulously clean and disinfect all guest facilities, including a deep clean of our kitchen facilities, wine tasting room and washroom facilities
Do I need to wear any protective gear while visiting?
The provincial and federal health authorities have recommended we use Personal Protective Gear as often as possible. We ask that you arrive with your mask on and when leaving your table to use the washroom facilities that you wear your mask. Tour guests will be asked to wear a mask during the farm tour. While in the games field or on your self guided tour we ask that you keep a social distance of 2.5 metres from other groups.
What are your hours of operation this summer?

We are allocating one hour to each group who joins us for a wine tasting, two hours for Private Picnics, two hours for Hands on Harvest and Wine Enthusiast Harvest tours. During this time, you are also welcome to visit our resident farm animals and jump on the jumping pillow.
