We’re a fourth-generation family-run farm and proudly call this land home. Our incredible team has been working hard as we welcome guests to Covert Farms, and the safety of our staff, guests, and community at large is of the utmost importance.
Our team is taking all necessary precautions as outlined by the provincial government, Worksafe BC and regional winery associations. We continue to strive for the best visitor experience with compliance, comfort and safety top-of-mind.
Below you will find an overview of our team’s safety measures and the latest government mandates. We will continue to update these measures based and new regulations and restrictions on an ongoing basis.

Onsite Guest Experience
We are a working farm, with many of our staff living onsite. We ask that visitors keep our team safe by following the below steps.

Government Mandated Proof of Vaccination for Onsite Visitors
Beginning Monday, September 13th, by order of the Provincial Health Authority, Covert Farms Family Estate will require proof of vaccination for onsite visitation for visitors (ages 12 and older). As a non-essential business primarily serving food and beverage (and with separate seating from the retail shop), we will be required to verify that onsite visitors joining us for our tastings, tours and picnics have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine before admitting entry. By October 24, we will be required to verify that people are fully vaccinated.
Upon arrival, a member of our team will ask visitors ages 12 and older to present proof of vaccination and a valid Government ID (verified for adults ages 19 and older only). Full details are included below.

Until September 26, visitors can show other forms of proof of vaccination. Following this we will be required to accept the BC Vaccine Card.
Out-of-province Canadian residents:

* Members of the Canadian Armed Forces who may not have a BC Vaccine Card will receive visual verification via the National Defence Canada COVID-19 vaccine record or card the National Defence ID card.

Wine Shop Pick-Ups
Customers picking up wines from our Wine Lounge are not required to present proof of vaccination. Upon arrival, please call 250-498-9463 and a member of our team will greet you at the entry of our Wine Shop (by the wine barrels). A friendly reminder that all guests are asked to wear their masks at the Wine Shop (both indoors and outdoors).
I’m travelling with my children. Can we bring them?
Absolutely! We offer kid-approved tasting experiences and seasonal mini farm tours (available as an add-on when booked alongside an existing wine tasting, private picnic or tour). To learn more and to check availability, click here.
Can I bring additional guests?
If you are planning on visiting with additional guests who are not pre-booked for a tasting experience, please indicate this in the Notes section when making your reservation – this includes designated drivers, non-wine drinkers, children and infants.
Can I bring my dog?
Dogs are welcome to our farm, permitted they are leashed and accompanied by their owner at all times. Please indicate you are bringing your dog in the Notes section of your booking.
How long can we spend at Covert Farms?
As much as we typically love having you join us for the day, we are doing our best to accommodate as many guests as possible. We are allocating one hour to each group who joins us for a wine tasting, two hours for Private Picnics, two hours for Hands on Harvest and Wine Enthusiast Harvest tours. During this time, you are also welcome to visit our resident farm animals and jump on the jumping pillow.
Are there any current closures at the farm?
We are not permitting public access to McIntyre Bluff hike.
Can we bring our own food?
For now, we ask that if you would like to enjoy food with your wine you book our Epicurean or Premium tasting, or one of our tours
Can I access Mcintyre Bluff?
For the safety of our guests, staff and fellow businesses operating on the farm, our gate will be locked throughout summer.
